This is Thumper, he's two yrs old and neutered.  He's a Netherland Dwarf and a very sweet bunny.

This is Mocha, she's about 8 months old.  She's not spayed yet but will be soon. She's a very gentle sweetheart.  She's a Holland Lop.

Happy 9th Wedding Anniversary

It's our wedding anniversary today.  It seems a lot longer that we've been married but it's only 9, I guess 9 is better then none. lol

My husband got me a Pandora charm for my bracelet and two Pandora rings, all with my birthstone on it, I was very surprised. :)

The heat here has been awful, I can't even walk my dogs, I don't take them out if I can't handle the heat, they can't handle the heat. I've even been home from the camper bc it's just too hot.  Today looks like we may get some rain, that would make me so happy!

I got a new Iphone, said I'd never get one but thought I'd see what all the hype is, well I still don't see it. LOL Oh well, it seems to run smooth anyways.

Well, time to get to the bird, pig and rabbit chores.  I should share some pictures of the babies, it's been so long.

It's been a while!

Well, I must say, it's been a while to say the least. I don't even know where to start. Seth has passed grade 2 and is moving on to grade 3. I'm so very proud of him, he's growning up to be a very compassionate boy! He is so tall and looks so much like his dad. My adult kids have been growing up more and more into the men/women that they are becoming. I can't believe I am the other of a 23yr old and 20yr old. They are both working and my son Jade is going on almost a yr of a relationship with his GF. My daughter Tara, not so much luck with the guys. lol I've heart some heart issues going on and had to wear a holter for 24hrs, that was fun, NOT! I'm not sure when I get my results. I know that I'm tired of the fast heart rate, the anxiety and all the stuff that comes with it. I hope it's not a blockage. The girl pigs are doing fantastic! They are in a C&C cage loaded with fleece for bedding. It's so nice and comfy looking, I'd move in. :p The bunnies are also fantastic but I'm having a hard time litter training my Mocha the Hollan Lop. She is such a sweet and gentle bun but she's coming out of her litter box to go to the loo and back in it to sleep. LOL Thumper is litter trained and he's also such a good bun! The parrots are all doing well. Cherry & Citrine had a big roll out fight the other day, thank god no one was hurt too bad but we did have to deal with two bleeding toes. The rest are good. The dogs, well, they're all healthy and good girls. They love when we head to the camper for the weekend or for vacation. Well, that's it for now I suppose. I'll get back here to share some pictures.

Dusky Pionus

I remember the first time I saw a Dusky in Bird Talk Magazine. That was about 20yrs ago. I knew one day I'd get my hands on one, at least, I hoped.

Well that day has come. My wonderful husband bought me one for our 8th wedding anniversary. A true meaning of his love towards me. A life long dream, has come true.

After seeing the beauty that the Dusky Pi holds, I wondered about what to call her. I like different names for my birds but really like names that fall under "fruit, food or gems stones". Upon closer inspection of the colors that a Dusky holds, I knew "Jewel" was her name...a real gem!

She's more beautiful that any picture can ever truly show. To see the irredesent colors in the sun is as beautiful as a rainbow after a sun shower.

And her smell...I just love it. Let's talk about that. Some say that you either love it or hate it. I love it. I had a BFA many yrs ago & he smelt the same exact way as Jewel...I have to admit "my name is Tracy & I'm a bird sniffer.....

Here are a few picture of my Jewel. I wonder what I will get for my 10th wedding anniversary? Maybe a Bronze Wing?

Some random pictures of my Poi

Here are a few recent pics of Kiwi, Cherry & Citrine.
This is Kiwi in the picture above. He's my little stinker & a mama's boy.

This is Cherry up in the front. She's very shy but she does like other birds. She's a work in progress for sure. However, today she went to take a peanut from my hand & I dropped it, great timing. lol So that scared her. I hope this means more in the future.

Citrine - Meyers

Hello, it's been a while again. I think life just gets in the way. Let's see, where was I?? lol Oh I did get my female Meyers Citrine & have had her more then a month now. Maybe it's been longer, I'm loosing my ability to remember time frame. :P

Citrine is as sweet as pie, just like our Pumpkin is. Very much wants to be with people...a big suckie. I also have been handfeeding her since she arrived here...she takes it once a day now. I don't mind, she loves it & well, so do we.
