A little update & some pics to share

Well I have some sad news, the lovebird ended up not coming home to me, something was wrong with her & the breeder decided to keep her. She didn't want me to be unhappy so....I'm sad about it but.....what can you do & it was her very last one so.....

I have some pictures to share of my Linnies, Sennie & My Conures so keep a look out for new pics all over this blog. LOL

And I'm going to post my bird board link. I don't usually share my groups on here but I think I will. It's for people to help other bird owners, to share pictures, to laugh & love one another. I was locked out

It's so cold in Winnipeg right now, there's a cold front in, I can't stand it. I'm off for some pellets today for the birds.

Well my lovebird can't come to me because of embargo has changed...now I have to wait to get him/her until January 18th. Ugh! Oh I should share a picture of him/her. Help with a name would be great. LOL

Good morning I think....

My vacation time is up, back to work tomorrow, it goes so so fast! Kiwi is in for a real treat while we're gone. Poor guy, he's getting used to me being home. lol I think he'll be fine. He seems to be able to take anything on so far. What a good boy he is!

So the breeder of Kiwi has Brown Headed Parrots on eggs....*slaps my hands* lol. Did I tell you all about Daisy the brown head? OMG she's the sweetest thing since kittens, I mean so quiet, gentle, loving. This is my breeders pet bird, she's just awesome!

My real wait was for a Meyers but hers haven't done anything yet so.....I dunno. :P

Cold here in Winnipeg

Sure has been really cold here in Winnipeg the last few days. I'm not much of a winter person so this makes it hard to want to do anything. lol

I think we're heading out for lunch with the family soon. Other then that Kiwi thinks he should help me type:

I'm new at blogging & stuff, I run my own boards & have for yrs but this blogging stuff is new to me so hang in there. lol

Kiwi's Cage

I have been slowly adding stuff to his cage, you know, he doesn't care how many or how fast they get put in his cage. lol

I've added a tree branch perch & two more toys...like I've said in the previous posts, I'm waiting on his swing I had made, a rope swing & a hemp boing & a cotton toy with blocks in it. This lady that makes toys is excellent. She makes them for my other birds as well.

It's been a while Happy New Year

It's been a pretty busy one around here. Kiwi is just whistling like crazy! He's trying to talk to. What a sweet bird....he's not too keen on hubby but he will go to everyone which makes me very happy. He was/is very socialized. :-) Kiwi got a couple of new toys as we await his big purchase to arrive from the US.

Here is a picture my husband took of Kiwi on a big bowl of nuts, no they're not his, he was able to have one almond though. My hubby thought it was cute to put him on the bowl & take pics. LOL
