Well today is a sad morning, Kiwi is biting harder & harder. I know, I know...baby birds do that but from a Senegal, this bite really hurts, makes my heart break. I sure hope I can get him out of this.....man am I feeling down right now.
I immediately put him back in his cage.
Ah your baby is starting to test you...
ReplyDeleteYou really shouldn't be taking this "biting" personally. (s)he is waiting to test barriers.
How long did you leave him in his cage for? There is no need to leave him in his cage too long after, since he'll probably not remember after a while why he was in there. Also, you don't need to put him back in every time, putting him on his cage, saying a stern "No" and turning your back for a few minutes could also help. But do go back to him eventually.
Hope this helps.
Yeah he is testing me. lol I don't leave him long at all. No worries. It's just an in the moment thing for him.
ReplyDeleteOh I forgot to mention that I don't take it personally, I just should remember not to post on my blog right as something happens bc it's at the moment only that I'm sad but I know it's going to only get better. :o) It's hard to write all of it in at the time, doesn't help I have a 5yr old & two teens. LOL
